He was predeceased by: his parents, Guy Lamar and Ethel Wright (Burnett) of Virginia; his sisters, Beverly and Barbara Allen; his parents-in-law, Maurice and Helen Rodekohr; and his siblings-in-law, Maurice "Moose" Rodekohr and Sharon Rodekohr.
He is survived by: his wife Carolyn "Jeanene" Rodekohr; his sister Brenda Wright; his sisters-in-law, Shirley Rodekohr and Joyce Emerson (Charlie); his children, Marsha Sharp (Sparky), Mark Wright (Carrie), Peggy Oswalt (Brian), LeeAnn Wright and Melissa Wright (Nancy); and his grandchildren, Brandon Sharp (Lee), Carissa Seek (Matt), Nathan Sharp, Dustin Wright (Andelyn), Dylan Oswalt (Amanda) and Derek Wright. He is also survived by 12 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Grace Lutheran Church, the American Heart Association, or the American Diabetes Association.
