He was predeceased by: his parents, Everett Lawrence and Inez Bernice Strickler (Wright); his daughter Kimberly Strickler; and his siblings, Larry Lee Strickler and Bonnie Trader.
He is survived by: his wife Doris Jean Anderson of Lexington; his children, Trevor Strickler (Randa) and Jennifer Thompson (Stanley) of Richmond; his grandchildren, Penelope Strickler, Sienna Strickler, Clayton Thompson and Kirstie Thompson; and his sister Nancy Burgess (Gary) of Camden.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Wounded Warrior Project.
