She was predeceased by: her parents, John Beretta and Josephine Beretta (Gasperino); her former husband John Buchanan Sr.; her children, John R. Buchanan Jr. and Karen Buchanan; and her siblings, Caroline Crowe, Mary Grechus, Joseph, Johnny, Rudy and Gilbert Beretta.
She is survived by: her husband James Lee Summerlin of Lexington, MO; her children, Stephen Buchanan (Joyce), Brenda Dady (Roger) of Lexington, MO and Gary Buchanan of Ashland, NE; and her grandchildren, Andrea, Candice, Jodie, Carly, Sierra, Skyler, Alyse, Brett, Shayde, Starr, Caitlin, Jacob, Sydney, Lucas and Elise. She is also survived by 19 great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the American Cancer Society and may be left in care of the funeral home.
