He was predeceased by: his parents, Russell and Nellie Lay (Downs); his siblings, Wilma Harris and Bennie Lay; and his brother-in-law Chuck Webster.
He is survived by: his wife Linda Kessler; his sons, Richie Lay (Melissa) of Lewistown and Randy Lay (Mindy) of Lewistown; his grandchildren, Alexis Sparks (Dillon), Ashlynn Bennett (Matt), Isabella Ledbetter (Bryson), Samantha McGraw (Thomas), Addison, Aidan and Abby Lay; his great grandchildren, Eli, Luke, Gabriel Sparks, Aria Bennett and Ledbetter; his stepgreat-grandson Garrick Farthing; his siblings, Joan Spurgeon, Kay Webster, Ronnie Lay, Larry Lay (Cheryl) and Terry Lay (Diane); and his sister-in-law Norma Lay.
Memorials may be made to the Lewistown Park or the Lewistown Cemetery Association.
