She was predeceased by: her parents, George Lewton and Louise Eckelberger Lewton; and her former husband Lloyd E. Schmidt. She is survived by: her husband German Shepherds; her children, Jon Schmidt (Terri) of Ewing, Susan Spurgeon of Canton and Melinda Heindselman (Greg) of Lewistown, MO; her grandchildren, Jennifer Richardson (Jeff) of Monroe City, MO, Shawn Spurgeon (Lacey) of Canton, MO, Tim Schmidt (Kate) of Troy, MO, Mike Heindselman (Jayla) of Mt. Vernon, IL and Zach Heindselman (Shannon) of Ewing, MO; and her great grandchildren, J. D. Brown, Hailey, Ryan Schmidt, Alston, Allison Richardson, Dominque, Peyton, Devyn Spurgeon and Dean Heindselman.
The family suggests memorials be made to Dover Cemetery or to Hospice of Northeast Missouri.
