He was predeceased by: his parents, Monroe "Clay" Brooks Sr. and Loretta Brooks (Jackson); and his son Richard Clay Brooks. He is survived by: his children, Sandra Gail Sanders and Steven Monroe Brooks (Kim) of Lesterville, Missouri.; his sister Mary Slaughterback; his grandchildren, Amanda Sutton (Jason), Kelly Hurston (Scott), Tyler Brooks, Katie Brooks and Shannon Brooks; and his great grandchildren, Madison, Morgan, Livy and Bayle. He is also survived by his family and friends.
