He was predeceased by: his parents, Dallas Clee Carty and Mildred Opal Helms; and his siblings, Steve, David Carty and Wanda Goesman.
He is survived by: his wife Joyce Carty of Lesterville; his children, James "Jim" Dale Carty Jr. (Trudy) of Viburnum and Pam Carrow (Mike) of Farmington; his siblings, Don Carty (Donna) of Carlinville, John Carty (Denise) of Carlinville, Lindel Carty of Carlinville, Doris Rush of Carlinville, Sue Tinker of Carlinville, Sandy Bomkamp (Paul) of Carlinville and Brenda Winingar (Elmer Jr.) of Lesterville; his siblings-in-law, James Roy Goggin (Mary) of Wisconsin and Darleen Goggin of Lesterville; his grandchildren, Zach Carrow and Dallas Carty; and his stepgrandchildren, Benjamin Sutton and Arielle Sutton. He is also survived by relatives and many friends.
