He was predeceased by: his parents, Dale Eilers (Joan) and Belt; and his brother Mark Eilers. He is survived by: his wife Michelle Eilers of Leslie; his sons, Tyler David Eilers and Steven Lee Eilers; his grandchildren, Hailey and Aubree Eilers; his siblings, Yvonne Heinz (Robert), Union Janisse, Beth Ann Janisse (Erick), Dale Alan Eilers (Stacie), Paul Eilers (Donna), Gerald Eilers and Matthew Eilers; and his sisters-in-law, Missie Evert (Randy) of Union, Nikki Birkmann of Union, Amy Hall (Josh) of Union, Torri Missey of Union and Debbie Weddle. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the Union Food Pantry.
