It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Nettie Surface of Leopold, Missouri, who passed away on December 10, 2021, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert W. Jansen and Clara L. DeBrock Jansen; and her siblings, Robert Jansen, Adeline Vandeven, Dorothy Hinkebein, Agnes Broshuis and Loretta Blattel.

She is survived by: her children, John Wayne Thele of Marble Hill, MO, Jeffrey Scott Thele of Leopold, Timothy Raymond Thele of Leopold, James Irvin Thele of Leopold and Cynthia Ann Thele of Leopold; and her siblings, Arnold Jansen (Mary) of Leopold, MO, Clara Macke of Leopold, Rose Macke of Toledo, Sr. of Ohio and Mary Jane Jansen. She is also survived by eleven grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren.
