He was predeceased by: his parents, John Phillips and Frances Phillips (Stout); his wife Sarah Frances Burford; his brother Leroy Phillips; and his son-in-law Jerry Ditty.
He is survived by: his children, Peggy Richey (Ronnie) of Leeton and Mark Phillips (LeAnn) of Warrensburg; his niece Vickie Richey; his siblings, Bill Phillips of Osceola and Laverne Warren of Warrensburg; his sister-in-law Phyllis Phillips of Warrensburg; his grandchildren, David Ditty (Theresa Knox) of Leeton, Daniel Ditty (Casey) of Leeton, Julie Johnson of Leeton, Ginger Munsterman (Travis) of Montrose and Mack Phillips (Kamaran) of Leeton; and his great grandchildren, Kyland Pinkley, Jerrilyn Ditty, Levi Ditty, Addie Brillhart, Weston Ditty, Lawson Ditty, Jadeyn Johnson, Reyd Johnson, Redmyn Johnson, Grasyn Munsterman, Taelyn Munsterman, Grainger Munsterman and Kambri Phillips. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Thomas Phillips Memorial Fund; checks may be made payable to Mark Phillips/Peggy Richey and left in care of Sweeney-Phillips and Holdren Funeral Home.
