He was predeceased by: his parents, Glenn Stanton and Margaret Stanton (Edwards); and his brothers, Howard and Stanley Stanton. He is survived by: his wife Evelyn Stanton of Lee's Summit, MO; his children, Randy Stanton (Brenda) of Napoleon, MO, Carla Prather (Joe) of Spring, TX and Janet Spellman (Michael) of Grain Valley, MO; his grandchildren, Stephen Stanton (Cassidy), Shannon Hamilton (Jonathan), Angela Davenport (John), Jacquelyn Prather, Nicolas Spellman (Ally) and Tara Dalton; his great grandchildren, Jo Davenport, Tucker Davenport, Rylie Davenport, Johnny Hamilton, Lauren Hamilton, Audra Stanton, Milo Stanton, Sean Stanton, Andrew Stanton, Nathan Stanton, Miller Dalton, Sony Dalton and Lauren Lavo; and his sister Helen Marie Weldon of Maryville, MO.. He is also survived by his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to Fellowship of John, a fund that provides financial assistance to Foxwood Springs residents that are in need.
