It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Shirley Bannes (Lees Summit, Missouri), born in Chicago, Illinois, who passed away on October 10, 2024, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Zintak and Amelia Zintak. She is survived by: her children, Gale Krieger (Mel), Dale Canino (Jim) of Lee's Summit, MO, Terry Rusin (Bill) of Denver, NC, Janet Spears (Bill) of Nebo, NC. and Raymond Leehaug; the father of her children John Bannes; and her siblings, Loretta Zintak Flohr, Chester Zintak, Laverne Zintak Bambrick, Allen Zintak and Dennis Zintak. She is also survived by extended family that includes 11 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
Donations in Shirley's memory may be made to the American Diabetes Association or the Alzheimer's Association.
