He was predeceased by: his parents, Festus Girkin and Clara Girkin; and his brother Bob. He is survived by: his wife Dorothy; his sons, Gregory of Richardson, TX, Jeffrey (Carla) and Christopher (Laura) of Birmingham, AL.; his grandchildren, Mathew, Kimberly, Silas and Jude; and his siblings, Jim and Shirley Moon.
