He was predeceased by: his parents, Mayvella Hale and Garlon Hale; and his brother Richard. He is survived by: his wife Vicky; his son Ryan; his daughter-in-law Casey; his granddaughters, Madeline and Audrey; his daughter Mindy; his sister Faye; and also, Sean (Potter), Reagan and Haley.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to The Association for Frontotemporal Degeneration.
