He was predeceased by: his wife Marie; his son Mark; his granddaughter Jill; and his parents, Marvin C. Suthers and Louise Suthers.

He is survived by: his children, Steven Suthers (Vickie) and Melody Schmucker (Kevin); and his grandchildren, Michelle Iglesias (Mario), Jennifer Logeman (Matthew), Brian Suthers (Jamie), Jason Vaughan (Leena) and Jack Dorst. He is also survived by ten great grandchildren.
