It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Laurel Charles Peterson (Lees Summit, Missouri), born in Larned, Kansas, who passed away on March 22, 2022, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Laurel Peterson and Frances Peterson. He is survived by: his former wife Roberta Peer; his children, Cynthia Hoedel (Mike Boyts), Nancy Hill (Larry), Mark Peterson (Elena), Curtis Tucker and Russell Tucker (Shelli); his wife Melva; his siblings, Carolyn Brass, Ken Peterson (Eileen), Judy Doyle (Wayne), Frank Peterson (Rita) and Claudia Boyd; and also Melva Swofford. He is also survived by five children, 14 grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations to the Navy League or the Alzheimer's Association.
