He was predeceased by: his parents, Elvin Whisler and Anna "Ruth" Whisler; his brothers, Gerald "Jerry" Whisler and Ronald "Ronnie" Frederick; and his stepson Mark Wilson.
He is survived by: his wife Nancy Whisler; his siblings, Walter "Bud" Whisler, Mike Whisler, Geneva Corum and Mary Jo Chase; his children, Kenneth "Buster" Whisler, Katherine Hunter and Mindy Whisler; his stepchildren, Laurie Grant and Kristin Leaver; and his grandchildren, Anna Hunter Staffeil, Lydia Hunter, Tori Hunter, Abby Clevenger, Amy Clevenger, Joey Whisler, Logan Leaver, Ellie Leaver, Jesse Street, Dustin Street, Katie Sands, Lindsay Becker and Lauren Norris.
