He was predeceased by: his parents, Irvin Gerdts (Hazel Gerdts) and Hazel Gerdts (Jenkins); and his siblings, Martha Rayl, Milton Gerdts and Donald Gerdts.
He is survived by: his wife Scarlet "Kay" Gerdts; his children, Greg Gerdts and Kenda Bartowski (Kenny); his grandchildren, Hayden Gerdts, Maribeth Doss (Jason), Kayla Millwater (Kristin) and Jay Millwater; his great grandchildren, William Doss, Evie Doss, Elijah Millwater and Isabella Millwater; his sisters, Judy Meins and Betty Burch; and also Pomme.
A celebration of life was held on Tuesday, March 18th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Speaks Suburban Chapel (18020 East 39th St S, Independence, MO 64055).
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in Ken's honor to the American Diabetes Association.
