We are sad to announce that on August 2, 2021, at the age of 87, John Mader of Lees Summit, Missouri, born in Kansas City, Missouri passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Edward G. Mader and Kathryn E. Mader (Peck); his wife Kay; his children, Melissa Shaefer (David) and Michael Mader (Lee Ann); his stepchildren, Lisa Cobb (Steve), Ammon Suddaby (Shannon) and Amber Doffing (Shaun); his grandchildren, Danielle Schaefer (Brett Schmidli), Marie Mader, Matthew Mader, John Paul Mader, Michael Mader, Jr., James Mader, Leah Mader, Rachael Welsh (Grant Baker) and Serenity Cobb; his siblings, Barbara Bullard, Terri Bullard, Ronald and Doris Goold; his close friends, Pomeranians, Teddy II and Sara Lee; and also, Dianne, Larry Welsh, Marge Barron, Barbara and Roger Sullivan. He was also cherished by many nephews and nieces, church friends and other special friends.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Puppetry Arts Institute of Independence.
