It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joanne R. Carthy of Lees Summit, Missouri, born in East Saint Louis, Illinois, who passed away on February 20, 2025, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Ray L. Graham and Mae L. Graham (Billen); her adoptive father Phillip J. Schmidt; and her sister Judy Graham. She is survived by: her daughter Kathy; her son-in-law Brian Dinges of Pleasant Hill; her granddaughters, Dana (Dustin Duncan) of Pleasant Hill and Lauren (Nathan Wright) of East Lynne; and her great grandchildren, McKenna Dinges-Summers, Emma Wright, Olivia Knox, Kaesen Knox, Mason Wright, Hartley Duncan, Harvie Wright, Dalyn Duncan and Riley Duncan. She is also survived by other relatives and friends.
Memorial contributions are suggested to The Lay Clergy Council of Pleasant Hill or the American Cancer Society and may be sent in care of the funeral home.
