He was predeceased by: his parents, Davis A. Sloan and Mary A. Sloan (Mitchell); and his grandson Jeff Dinges. He is survived by: his wife Delores Maxine Holton; his daughters, Gayle Carlile (Kevin) of Pleasant Hill and Lorie Radmacher (Tom) of Pleasant Hill; his grandchildren, Chris Dinges (Tera), Jessica George (Scott), Vanna Lewis (Justin), Joseph Radmacher, Ryan Radmacher (Katie) and Jeremy Fenton; and his great grandchildren, Austin, Payton, Alyssa, Kordell, Parker, Jake, Sophia, Layne and Tommy. He is also survived by other relatives and friends.
Memorial contributions are suggested to the KU Cancer Center and may be sent in care of the funeral home.
