We are sad to announce that on January 2, 2024, at the age of 87, James Vernon Cooper of Lees Summit, Missouri passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Gus Cooper and Ava Cooper; and his brothers, Lewell Cooper, George Cooper and Boyd Cooper.

He is survived by: his wife Hazel Dean Smith; and his children, Verna Collier (Jack), Marie Harder (Wayne), Jason Cooper (Michelle) and Dawn Crosley (Phil). He is also survived by ten grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren.

Memorial donations may be sent to Smith Cemetery HC 72 Box 82 Jasper, Arkansas 72641 in honor of Vernon Cooper.
