He was predeceased by: his siblings, Arlene Rauchwarter (Aslakson), Vernice Aslakson, Melroy Aslakson, Jeanette Hines (Aslakson) and Lorraine Escritt (Aslakson).

He is survived by: his wife Mary Aslakson (McKemy); his children, James Aslakson and Gwendolyn Blotevogel (Matthew); his granddaughters, Elisabeth and Catherine; his daughter Jane Fixen (Lee); his grandchildren, Erin and Megan; and his sister Lila Rice (Aslakson).

The family encourages memorial donations to the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research (michaeljfox.org/tribute) or to Lavelock Cemetery in Hardin, Missouri (cityofhardin.com/lavelock-cemetery).
