He is survived by: his wife Joyce Kleoppel; his children, Shane Lightner (Heather) of Bonner Springs, Kansas, Shannen Merrick (Aaron) of Lenexa and Shauna Cecil (Bryon) of Lee's Summit, Missouri; his grandchildren, Caden, Cohen, Cami Merrick, Sam, Olivia, Lucas Lightner, Rosie, Calvin and Braden Cecil; and his siblings, Robert Lightner (Phyllis) of Stillwell, Kansas, Pamela Bruce of Kansas City and Janet Kesler of Muncie, Indiana..
