He is survived by: his parents, Patricia McGrath Avery and Everett Hayward Avery; his brother Mark Avery (Michele); his nephews, George (Martha), John and Benjamin Avery; his great-niece Nora Avery of Overland Park, Kansas.; his uncles, Gary McGrath (Frances) and Jim McGrath; his cousins, Kathleen McGrath, John McGrath of Kansas City, Kansas, Matthew McGrath (Frances Dickey) and Sarah McGrath (Timothy Bauman); his friends, David Hutton (Cissy), Vashon Borich-Leach, Ron Leach, Branson Karate and Tai Chi; and also, Grayson Kassius Andersen of Ottawa, Kansas, Charles, Thomas McGrath of St. Louis, Missouri, Hannah, Daniel, Margaret Bauman of Rochester, Ty and Jack.
