He was predeceased by: his parents, Mabel Bartley Packer and Arthur Packer; his son Gary; his wife Wanda Packer; and his siblings, Richard, Robert, Arthur, John, Edward, Walter, Donald, Betty and Esther.
He is survived by: his stepson Meldan Engeman (Darsi Engeman); his children, Chuck and Wanda; his siblings, Martha Winslow (Donald), Barbara Geyer (Melvin) and Kenneth Packer (Connie); his children, Barbara Packer of Grand Junction and Charles Packer, Jr. of Shoshone, Idaho; his grandchildren, Tarah Hauger, Jeffrey Brondum, Tylor McGowan and Riley Packer; his stepsons, Mark (Linda Engeman) and Myron (LaVonne Engeman); his grandchildren, Cassandra Engeman, Christina Godinez, Danielle Schremser, Breanne Raymond, Audrey Boykin and Kyle Engeman; and his niece Nancy Hauser (Max). He is also survived by ten great-grandchildren.
