He was predeceased by: his parents, James Barton and Mary Mae Pressley Nutter; his wife Wilma Deloris Shelton; his daughter Sharon Coffman; and his siblings, Thomas, Jerry, Jack, Larry Don Nutter, Bonnie Hill and Doris Sherrer.

He is survived by: his sons, Bill Nutter, Jr. (Barbara) of Lebanon, Missouri and Randy Nutter (Barbara) of Lebanon, Missouri; and his son-in-law Wayne Coffman of Lebanon, Missouri. He is also survived by nine grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; several nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
