He was predeceased by: his parents, W. T. "Ted" Thornbury and Jewel Thornbury (McCutchen); his brother Stephen Thornbury; his grandson Emmitt Alan Thornbury; his mother-in-law Bonnie Brandt; and his nephew Justin Thornbury.
He is survived by: his wife Brenda Bartkoski; his sons, Chris Thornbury (Kristina) of Bellevue, NE and Tim Thornbury of Lebanon, MO; his granddaughter Kierstin Thornbury; his sister Barbara Shell of Lebanon, MO; his nephew John Eastburn (Mandy); and his brother-in-law Joe Bartkoski (Diona) of Oklahoma. He is also survived by other relatives and many close friends.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, April 23rd 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Shadel's Colonial Chapel (1001 Lynn St, Lebanon, MO 65536). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, April 23rd 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Wednesday, April 23rd 2025 at the Mt. Rose Memorial Park (193 Mountrose St, Lebanon, MO 65536).
