He was predeceased by: his parents, Perry Sylvester Hite and Opal Lillian McNew; and his grandson Steven Ralph Gray II. He is survived by: his wife Freda J. Hite of Lawson; his children, Barney Hite Lawson (Sheryl) and Brenda Gray (Steve); and his grandchildren, Barney K. Hite Richmond (Kellie), Chase Hite Liberty (Kathy), Chris Hite Liberty (Whitney) and Jasmine Gray Spartanburg.
