He was predeceased by: his parents, Lucille Elizabeth Murphy Tipton and Stribling Burwell Tipton of Paris; his wife Margaret G. Tipton; his parents-in-law, Paul and Mary Toombs; his siblings-in-law, Betty Mosher, Ray Mosher and Jim Toombs; and his friends, Dayton Holt, Don Maddux and Earl Miller.
He is survived by: his children, Paul (Terry Tipton), Tim (Joy Tipton) and Shelly (Tim Brown); his brother Bill (Madeline); and his sister-in-law Pat Toombs. He is also survived by 21 great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
