It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Charley Cates Jr. of Lawson, Missouri, who passed away on December 3, 2023, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Charley Vester Cates, Sr. and Mary Frances; and his siblings, Bobby Ray Cates and Donna Sue Swafford. He is survived by: his significant other Ann Seba (Whiskey Pete); his children, Rodney Cates (Bonnie) and Jessica Cates Bolen (Brian Cook); his grandchildren, Michael Cates, Nathan Cates, Jacob Cates (Alexis) and Bella Bolen; and his niece Yvette Cates.
