He was predeceased by: his parents, LeRoy Cheney and Shirley Cheney (Kennedy); and his brother Danny Cheney. He is survived by: his children, Michael Cheney (Jennifer) of Holt, MO and Katherine Heiser of Kansas City, MO; his grandson Oliver Paxton; and his siblings, Linda Cheney of Florida, Lisa Cheney-Sammons of Bowling Green, KY, Dana Cheney of Excelsior Springs, MO and Sam Cheney of Liberty, MO. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins and other extended family.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the Kearney Bible Church in care of the funeral home.
