Nathan Dwight Crump Obituary
Nathan Dwight Crump, 32 of Lancaster, Missouri passed away on Sunday, January 9, 2022 at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Iowa City, Iowa.
The son of Brent and Kathryn (Hussey) Crump, he was born on May 23, 1989 in the Putnam County Hospital in Unionville, Missouri. He was a 2008 graduate of the Schuyler County High School. Following high school graduation, he attended Moberly Area Community College and Indian Hills Community College obtaining three associate degrees and three diplomas. While in college, he maintained the Dean's list every semester and made the President's List one semester during his college career as a student. At the time of his death, he was an Administrative Assistant in Continuing Education and Work Force Development for Indian Hills Community College in Ottumwa, Iowa. He thoroughly enjoyed his job and seeing that the students he worked with, obtain their necessary qualifications for graduation.
Survivors include his parents, Brent and Kathryn Crump of Lancaster, Missouri; his siblings, Kristina Harwood and husband, Fred of Hollister California, Nikole Crump and significant other, Steven Jackson of Lancaster, Missouri, Heather McCannon, and husband, Mark of Mystic, Iowa; his grandmother, Delores Crump of Kirksville, Missouri; nieces and nephews including Camden McCannon of Mystic, Iowa, Aria and Alexander James Hardwood of Hollister, California; other family members across the U.S. and many good friends.
Nathan is preceded in death by his grandparents, Joan Hussey on June 9, 2007, James Hussey on July 6, 2015 and Gary Crump on May 31, 2005.
Nathan attended the Lancaster Christian Church in Lancaster, Missouri.
One of the greatest joys he had was spending time with his family and friends and bringing everyone together with his big heart, sense of humor, sweet soul and a beautiful smile.
__________. A visitation will be held on Friday, January 14, 2022 between the hours of 6:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. at the Norman Funeral Home in Lancaster, Missouri. In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established for a scholarship to be given to an Indian Hills student. Burial will be at a later date as the body will be cremated. Arrangements are under the direction of the Norman Funeral Home of Lancaster, Missouri.
