He was predeceased by: his mother Patricia Christine O'Brien (Smith); and his sister Patricia Howell. He is survived by: his father Thomas John Jr.; his wife Melissa O'Brien; his daughter Kaelyn O'Brien (Thomas John O'Brien IV); his siblings, Flo Randolph (Brian) of Nashville, Tennessee and Kevin O'Brien of Memphis, Tennessee; his stepfather Larry Morrison of Estill Springs, Tennessee; and his pet Buddy O'Brien.
