He was predeceased by: his parents, Elmer Duffy Timmons and Frances "Billie" Timmons (Lean); his brother Stan Timmons; his father-in-law Dale Phipps; and his brothers-in-law, Jeff Phipps and Jack Luce.

He is survived by: his wife Kay Timmons; his sons, Tyler Timmons (Kim) of Lamar, Terin Timmons (Autumn) of Lamar and Troy Timmons of Lamar; his grandchildren, Zoey Timmons, Samuel Timmons, Talon Timmons, Trypp Timmons and Wyatt Rodebush; his sister Jan Luce of Lamar; and his mother-in-law Allene Phipps of Lamar.
