She was predeceased by: her parents, William Douglas Thompson and Eva Fae Thompson (Divine); her stepmother Sara Jo Thompson; her son-in-law Tim Buchanan; her nephew Bradley Armstrong; and her siblings-in-law, Janice Armstrong and Charles Armstrong.
She is survived by: her husband Larry Roland; her children, Eva Roland Buchanan and Curt (Susan Roland) of Lamar; her grandchildren, Kelli (Saula Niqara) of Arlington, Virginia, Ashley (Roger Payne Jr.) of St. James, Kailey (Brenyn Jungmann) of Belton, Kenna (Jacob Russell) of Lenexa and Kip Roland (Lauren) of Bentonville; her great grandchildren, Roger "RJ" Payne III and Maralynne Payne; and her nieces, Dana Carver and Elizabeth Armstrong. She is also survived by her five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
