We are sad to announce that on March 20, 2024, at the age of 88, Opal Irene Young of Lamar, Missouri passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Tom Gardner and Katherine Gardner (Twaddell); her husband Vern Young; her siblings, Forrest Wayne Gardner and Helen Jean Marti; and her stepson Steve Young.
She is survived by: her children, Nancy Trotter of Lamar, MO, Kenny Sims (Tina) of Nixa, MO, Kimala Dodson of Olathe, KS and Bradley Sims (Kim Burns); her stepson Audie Young (Diane Morganti); her sister Kay Marti of Lamar, MO; her grandchildren, Joshua Trotter, Kracinda Sims, Kee Sims (Mindy), Dakota Dodson (Frankie), Damon Dodson and Kalli Dodson; and her great grandchildren, Patience Elders, Gabe Greenway, Camilla Sims, Parker Dodson and Grant Dodson.
