She was predeceased by: her parents, Roy Robert Selvey and Essie Florence Selvey (McManis); her husband Orville Thomas Caruthers; her son Daniel Ray Caruthers; her granddaughter-in-law Mandy Caruthers; and her siblings, Martin Selvey, Gene Selvey, Keith Selvey, Bob Selvey, Ron Selvey, Leland Gail Selvey, Helen Carr and Lorene Norwood.
She is survived by: her children, Richard Caruthers (Carol) of Rockport, Tom Caruthers (Brenda) of Lamar, MO and Karen Nims (Dale) of Lamar, MO.; her daughter-in-law Cathy Caruthers of Lamar, MO; her grandchildren, Chad Caruthers, Cara Villar (Marco), Tanina Torbeck, Mindy Greene (Casey), Raeann Eidson (Preston), Jeremy Caruthers, Matthew Caruthers (April), Monica Willis (Josh), Adam Nims, Kelli Nims, Christopher Nims (Cheriese) and Blaine Nims (Elizabeth); her great grandchildren, Eli Villar, Benjamin Villar, Tucker Torbeck, Taryn Torbeck, Trent Torbeck, Parker Greene, Keilin Greene, Bryer Eidson, Essie Eidson, Madison Caruthers, Taylor Caruthers, Michael Caruthers (Cori), Courtney Caruthers, Darin Caruthers, Lexi Moore, Chloe Moore, Judah Nims, Jonah Nims, Jordan Nims and Carson Nims; her great great grandchild Brooks Caruthers; her brothers, Don Selvey (Thelma) and Carl Selvey (Beverly); and her sister-in-law Donna Selvey.
She then worked as a tour guide at Truman's Birthplace for 23 years and only stopped due to the COVID-19 shut down.
