He was predeceased by: his parents, Clifford Buffington and Ann Buffington (O'Donnell); his siblings, Darwin Buffington, Mike Buffington and Karol Buffington; his sister-in-law Jolene Buffington; and his father-in-law Clarence Schorzman.
He is survived by: his children, LuAnn Zumwalt (Rob) of Grove, Patty Fraley of Shawnee, Sandra Oliver (Pete) of Coral Springs, Renee Maceli of Miami, Florida, Dean Buffington (Jeannie) of Chinook, Ryan Godfrey (Leah) of Leavenworth and Jeffrey Godfrey (Ashley) of Republic, Missouri; and his brothers, Virg Buffington of Ames and Tub Buffington of Colo, Iowa.. He is also survived by 18 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren.
