She was predeceased by: her parents, Clifford McBride and Zeta Jo McBride (Boyd); her husband Estel H. Gideon; her sister JoAnn Mayhugh; and her son-in-law Ralph Zimmerman (Sue Landis).
She is survived by: her son Dr. David; her daughter-in-law Dr. Kathleen Gideon of Atlantic Beach; her daughter Connie Gideon-Zimmerman of Springfield, Missouri; her granddaughter Jessica Zimmerman-Selvidge (Bryan Selvidge) of Springfield, MO; her stepgrandchildren, Carla Stanton (Richard) of Webb City, Missouri and Carl Zimmerman of Decatur, Illinois; her great grandchildren, Drew Zimmerman, Andi Stanton, Cody Zimmerman, Raven Freligh and Brooke Zimmerman; her great great grandchild Avery Zimmerman; and her niece Karel Hippert (Bill).
