He was predeceased by: his parents, Oscar Banwart and Caroline Banwart (Marti); his former wife Charlotte Ann Meyer; and his brothers-in-law, Ralph Meyer (Melanie) and Dale Moore.
He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Jean Gerber; his children, Jonathan Banwart (Beth) of Lamar, MO, Ulista Banwart of Sabetha, KS and Venetta Banwart of Lamar, MO; his grandsons, Daniel, Jacob, Kevin and Jeffrey Banwart of Lamar, MO; his sister Eileen Braker (Don) of Sabetha, KS.; and his siblings-in-law, Roberta Meyer, Rachel Meyer, Joe, Marcella Steiner, Paul, Delores Metzger, Roger, Ilene Hartter, Larry, Shirley Ifft, Cheryl Moore, Manuel, Mary Gerber, David and Diane Gerber. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
