He was predeceased by: his spouse Ruth Ann Coan; his parent Charles B. Coan; and his son Kelly Coan. He is survived by: his parent Caroline Coan; his child Tammy Lough; his stepchildren, Lori Camden (Greg) and Brad Garrett (Cindy); his significant other Dorothy "Dot" Burgardt; his grandchildren, Jason, Max, David, Christopher, Mike, Matt, Tom, Jessica and Jake; his great grandchildren, Brayden, Payton, Riley, Brianna, Mason, Mikayla, Aurora, Jackson and Lincoln; his sibling James "Jim" Coan; and his former wife Marjorie Rastberger.
