It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Terry Gerling of Lake Saint Louis, Missouri, born in Saint Louis, Missouri, who passed away on June 9, 2023, at the age of 63, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Kenneth Gerling and Joyce Gerling; and his brother Kevin Gerling. He is survived by: his wife Susan Gerling; his children, Mike Gerling (Tiffany) and Lisa Miller (David); his grandchildren, Abby Arnette-Miller, Kiernan Gerling, Kenzie Gerling, Peyton Miller and Reagan Miller; and his brother Keith Gerling (Jennifer). He is also survived by other family members and friends.

“I met Terry on the phone in the summer of 2017 after purchasing my first St. Louis rental house. We talked while I walked around my southern California neighborhood with him regaling me with stories of how he had creatively handled tenant selection and other problems. After 45 minutes, I said, “I’ve heard enough. You’re hired.” I never got the chance to meet him, but he seemed a kind soul working in a tough but critical industry that few did well. But he did, and he’ll be missed. Alan S”
