He is survived by: his children, Greg Winters (Patty) of Libertyville, Jeffery Winters (Elissa) of Eugene, Missouri, Christianne Cleary (Jerry) of Four Seasons and Sandy Lemay of Spring Grove, Illinois; and his sister Carol Steffen. He is also survived by eight grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren.
