He is survived by: his wife Sonja; his children, Gwendolyn Kae Palmer (Joseph) of Las Vegas, Gaylene Laverne Rincon (Manuel) of Auburn, Jeanette Nadine Ashford of Lake Ozark, Missouri and Wesley Alan Ashford (Deena) of Rancho Cucamonga, California; and his grandchildren, Jason, Jeremy, Gina, Joe, Kelly, Courtney, Cory, Trenton, Kimberly, Quincy, Michael and Daniel Thomas (Danny).
