She was loved and cherished by many people including: her friends, Kathy Jo and Cindi Lou; her husband Winston; her sister Carol Ruiter; her son Stephen Hansen; her grandchildren, Kody Wright of Rocky Mount, MO and Stephanie Grey; her father Winston Wright; her sister Roberta Steinbeck; her sons, Karl and Ricky; and her grandson Billy Wright. She was also cherished by great grandchildren.

“Dear Family, My sincerest sympathies regarding Barbara's passing....I can't believe she's gone! As my "surrogate mother" (SM - her term) she tried to keep me on the straight & narrow! Outspoken? Not a bit afraid to point out when I didn't do something quite right....my shorts were too short, my hair was too long, I voted wrong in an Investment Club meeting, I should be going to her parties political functions and not riding the fence. Loved her dearly! I want to be like her as I age! Sue Pierce”
