It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ardyce Vavene Mayes of Laddonia, Missouri, born in New York Mills, Minnesota, who passed away on July 16, 2020, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. She is survived by: her sons, Terry Mayes of St. Charles, Warren Mayes (Debbie) of St. Louis and Wayne Mayes of St. Louis; her sister Atheleen Iola Welch of Mexico; and her grandchildren, Madeline Watson of Centralia and Ethan Newberry of Columbia.
