He is survived by: his wife Lorraine Abernathy; his children, Steven Abernathy and Brenda Abernathy of Columbia, MO; his grandchildren, Samuel, Joel and Elliotte Abernathy; and his sister-in-law Viginia Thornton of Claremore, OK. He is also survived by other relatives and friends.
