He is survived by: his brother Delbert; his children, James Nivens (Carolyn) and Debbra Bowles (Roger); and his grandchildren, Andrew Bowles (Anna), Amanda Holder (Justin), Rachel Hoemann (Matthew) and Jessica Bennett (Corey). He is also survived by ten great-grandchildren.
