With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Virgil Dean Pippin of La Plata, Missouri, born in Triplett, Missouri, who passed away on December 19, 2022 at the age of 91. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert E. Pippin and Eva Pippin (Billups); his wife Florence Colleen Rhoades; his daughter Nancy Haley; his children-in-law, Jeffrey Gwinner, Baxter Haley and Kay Pippin; his siblings, Stella Tuggle, Peggy Thomas, Judy Brown and Jimmy Pippin; and his brothers-in-law, Bill Tuggle, Bobby Buck and Larry Voyles.
He is survived by: his children, Robert Pippin of Atlanta, Victor Pippin (Diana) of La Plata, Missouri and Cindy Gwinner of Eldon, Missouri; his siblings, Glen Pippin (Sherry) of La Plata, Missouri, Loren Pippin (Patsy) of La Plata, Missouri, Verna Buck of La Plata, Missouri and Cora Voyles of La Plata, Missouri; his brothers-in-law, Ronnie Brown and Jerry Thomas; and his grandchildren, Kim Rodriquez (Paul), Tessa Parke (Jeff), Jeff Hinz (Carla), Nichole David (Kevin), Tom Hinz (Peggy), Dena Dennis (Kevin), Alex Gwinner and Aaron Pippin (Natousha). He is also survived by great great grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Memorials in memory of Virgil may be made to the Elmer Baptist Church or to Missouri State Veterans Cemetery.
